Raisa Gorbachev Memorial Institute
The Raisa Gorbachev Memorial Institute in St Petersburg is one of the leading centres in Northern Russia for paediatric oncology. A pioneer in the treatment of children suffering from leukaemia and other serious life-threatening diseases
From 2006 to 2008, the majority of funding from the gala events was used to furnish the new clinic with much needed equipment and beds.
On these foundations, the Raisa Gorbachev Foundation continues to work with the Institute providing essential equipment and training to Professor Boris Afanasiev and his dedicated team.
